Toddler Program at Cleveland Ave. – Columbus, Ohio
Toddlers are always on the go and ready to discover the world! Our toddler program at the Cleveland Ave. location provides a safe environment where your child can explore and learn. During their time with us your toddler will learn to count, recognize colors and shapes, discover writing and music, and start building toward following simple instructions and the potty.
Additionally, our toddler teachers promote self-care skills such as feeding, cleaning and dressing. We also support your child’s large motor development and eye-hand coordination through a variety of activities such as kicking balls, tossing, writing, drawing and lacing.
Our toddler program includes:
- Free meals and snacks
- Activities that encourage language, thinking, and motor skills development
- Opportunities to touch, taste, look at, listen to, smell and manipulate objects
Your Toddler’s Day
Toddlers discover new things about their world every day. Your child’s day is filled with opportunities to explore and gain important skills. A samples schedule includes time for: meals with peers, circle time, free and structured play, music, art, quiet time, sleep time, and outdoor play. Throughout the day diapers are checked and potty time is provided for kids who are training.
Communication with Parents
Parents are able to provide useful information to the teacher in the morning. At the end of the day you receive a daily report with information on your child’s day. The sheet provides specific information on
- Amount of food they ate
- Amount of sleep they had
- Diaper changes and potty use
- School readiness progress in five developmental areas
- Learning activities your child participated in during the day
- Important reminders of items to bring or other information
Every child is special and we take pride in providing the care and experiences your toddler needs to transition into our preschool classroom.
